A day-by-day look at everything happening in Charlotte beyond just the main event.
MLS All-Star Week in Charlotte isn't just one Wednesday night — it's a stretch of events spread across Uptown and the wider Mecklenburg County. Here's what's on, day by day.
The weekend kicks off with a fan festival at Romare Bearden Park, a few blocks from the stadium. Past editions of this event have featured live sets from major acts — Marshmello, Kehlani, Khalid, Kaytranada, and Big Boi have all played previous MLS All-Star fan festivals — alongside autograph sessions, interactive fan zones, and vendor activations. Check MLS's official channels closer to the date for the confirmed 2026 lineup.
Held at Matthews Sportsplex, this showcases the league's top academy prospects — a good pick if you want to see the next generation of talent before they're household names.
The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T takes over Truist Field at 8 p.m., with MLS and Liga MX players competing in shooting, passing, and the fan-favorite "Goalie Wars" — a fast-paced 1v1 goalkeeper duel. Charlotte has a strong history here: Crown Legacy goalkeepers have twice won the Goalie Wars title. The two leagues enter 2026 tied 2-2 overall in the Skills Challenge.
The main event: MLS All-Stars vs. Liga MX All-Stars at Bank of America Stadium, presented by Chime. This year's matchup arrives just 10 days after the FIFA World Cup wraps, meaning several players will be coming straight off international tournament football into an All-Star exhibition — a first for the event's timing. Charlotte FC's own Tim Ream captains the U.S. men's national team and joins the roster alongside Charlotte FC teammates Pep Biel and Ashley Westwood.
Uptown Charlotte has plenty to fill the gaps between events:
Planning tip: the Skills Challenge (Truist Field) and the All-Star Game (Bank of America Stadium) are different venues about half a mile apart — don't assume one ticket covers both, and check the walking route in advance if you're catching both nights.
